This is a multi group event sponsored by TC Paddlesports, the North Texas River Runners and Adventures Unlimited Please read the entire event description.

This event is a Picnic and paddle event, beginning with a picnic dinner in the park, then launch on the river in the evening to paddle down towards Panther Island to watch the Firework show from the Henderson St Bridge. Rental boats $50 per single, $90 per two person kayak or canoe.

6:00 to 8:30 Picnic, optional swim. You must bring your own picnic supplies, chairs, blankets, pop up shade, etc. though some will have food and shade to share. We will meet near Double Drop, the last of the chutes, We will set up near shade and I will bring a 10x10 pop up to help with shade. The river there is also a nice swimming hole to cool off. Address is 2500 River Drive. This is inside Trinity Park. Be aware they have been known to close the park if it gets too full, so you might have to hike in. If you are bringing your own boat, earlier is safer for getting into the park.

8:30PM Fireworks Paddle. After dinner we will put lights on the boats, launch from below Double Drop, and paddle to the Henderson St. Bridge where we will watch the fireworks display that begins at 9:30PM. After the fireworks we will paddle serenely back to Double Drop while all others at the event are stuck in traffic.
